I only take one 'out' as a father. I use that out for the beach, which means I have to go to parades (and the zoo and to fireworks) with a smile on my face like I am having the time of my life (I don't want to be the dad who only does things he wants to do - but I don't mind being the dad who never goes to the beach).
This did not happen. I made this one for a lesson plan I developed for a course I am taking. It is called USING COMICS TO TEACH QUOTATIONS MARKS. The Prezi I made for it is HEREand you can email me for the Lesson Plan if you want. comicsintheclassroom AT gmail.com
We just got back from our Disney World trip / visit with my sister. We spent time in Florida and in South Carolina (where my sister lives) and it was great. HOT though...Tarzan hot. Did lots of comics though. I will be posting the ones that will make any sense at all to anyone that wasn't there.
Instead of making a give-away comic for this year's Free Comic Book Day the Riverside Consolidated School Comic Book Club has created a fundraising comic that is now for sale. For $2.50 you can help support those people that go out of their way to help us.
To get your own copy of the RCS Volunteer Fire Department (for Alma, Riverside-Albert and Hillsborough detachments) and IWK Children's Hospital fundraising comic you can visit the three comic stores in Moncton as well as FolioBooks (next to "Why Are You Cooking?" on St.George, Moncton) and Cover to Cover Books (in Riverview). As of Wednesday afternoon they will be in most of the stores in Hillsborough and they will be available in Riverside-Albert and Alma as well.
To order a copy you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the school at 882-3002.
Aparently, holding the bucket and cleaning up vomit is a hidden talent of mine. Definitely NOT an inherited trait (My Mom knew she was not so good at that part). She was real good at making cookies though and all that other mothery stuff - just not so good with the vomit.
